Allen Williams
Certified Bodyworker
I received my certification from the Vancouver School of Bodywork & Massage after completing a 700 hour professional training program. My study focused heavily on anatomy and physiology of the body while training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, and Reflexology as well as introductory training in Ayurveda, Aromatherapy, and Shiatsu.
As a holistic bodyworker, I pride myself on providing professional and high-quality services for which I am often commended on my nurturing touch and strong hands.
Bodywork Philosophy
I left the corporate world in 2009 to pursue my certification from the Vancouver School of Bodywork & Massage. My interest in holistic massage stems from my own need for bodywork due to long hours of computer and cell phone use in my previous career.
By bringing body and mind into balance, I offer relaxation to tense muscles and blocked energy so my clients can overcome the negative effects of tech-stress. I use my training in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Joint Release, Hot Stone, and Foot Reflexology as the basis for creating relaxing sessions which target both common tension points and those specific to an individual client’s needs.
Unlike spas which standardize their services so every client receives the exact same treatment, I personalize treatments for every client by targeting specific muscle groups to address a particular client's muscle tension. Maybe today you need your forearms and neck worked, but next week it's your low back and calves -- you can rest assured that each treatment will be a whole new experience reflecting what your body needs.
